Skills funding agency

The Skills funding agency was set up by the government to regulate adult skills training in England (it replaced the ‘Learning and Skills Council’ in April this year). A branch of the agency, the ‘Young people’s learning agency’, funds local authorities to provide training opportunities for 16-19 year olds.
