Carillion - Wolverhampton BSF SME Seminar Update

Date added: 16 November 2011

Carillion's much anticipated 'Value & Risk Management Seminar', to be presented by Michael Thompson, is due to be rescheduled asap.

The seminar, which was due to take place on 10 November at The Workspace, All Saints Road, Wolverhampton, was postponed and was due to cover 'Value and Risk Management', which are project management tools which all too often are used because they have to be used, but without a full understanding of why they are necessary. Without that full understanding, they are often paid "lip service” only. This undermines the true value of these tools by not allowing them to demonstrate just how effective they can be.

The revised date will provide delegates, during the two hour session, with the following essential information:

Risk Management
o The risk methodology
o Understanding how risks should be defined
o Understanding of how they should be quantified and if necessary, acted on

Value Management – Analysis and Engineering
o Understanding what value is and how it compares with lean
o The value methodology
o Importance of whole life costing

Risk and Value relationship
o Both contribute to achieving value for money
o The importance of whole life

This seminar will be free of charge and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so keep your eye on our events pages for the revised date coming soon.
